San Diego RV Resort, San Diego, California

We found this park to be the perfect place to stay for city access. We've stayed at many of the state park campgrounds nearby, but wanted to access the city, namely to attend a Padres game. The resort is adjacent to Interstate 8 and also the "trolley" which provides inexpensive transportation into the city's many tourist stops. Convenience to the city was our number one priority,  and we found this to have easy access to the trolley,  which is more of an electric train system. Trains run frequently and zip you right into the city including Old Town, Mission San Diego, the mall, SDSU, the Gaslamp district, convention center and Petco Park. The resort has a code required gate access to the train station, which is right next door. The resort itself has nicely shaded and spaced spots. Atypical of most RV resorts, a large number of sites are not parallel to each other but rather catty corner, giving a little more privacy, we felt. With over 150 sites, a pool, laundry, fitness center, and gate guarded access, we found this place to be a safe and convenient place to stay.
