Covered Wagon RV Park, Phoenix, Arizona

This RV park is in the metro area of Phoenix. Many RV parks in Phoenix are 55+, so with our teenagers along, we were excited to find a place within an easy Uber ride to Chase Field. The park itself is just north of the city center directly adjacent to Interstate 17. We didn't notice sound from the highway, however we were visiting during summer months the and our A/C ran nonstop, muffling any outside noise. The park has gravel sites, paved patios, a picnic table, and is typical of most RV parks: full hookups, laundry, tight sites. One perk is that the park itself was clean and shady with many mature trees to help keep the rig cooler in extreme summer temperatures. We pulled in and were slightly concerned by the park's neighborhood. In fact a cop was on patrol and pulled off into one of the sketchy apartment buildings across the street. At the front of the park a homeless encampment furthered our concerns. Despite this, we stayed our one night, slept well, and departed first thing in the morning. This served its purpose, but I wouldn't stay here again due to the neighborhood.
