A & B Campground, Chutes Provincial Park, Massey, Ontario, Canada

Chutes is named after the log chutes that were used along this river to transport logs downriver. Information about the logging history is available at the interpretive panels at the Chutes Falls overlook, which is stunning. Campers and day users alike will enjoy tubing in the swim area just beneath the falls. The campground is adjacent to the falls and although you can't see the falls from campsites, you can hear them from most sites. There are about 100 sites here, some of which have electric hookups, others without. The hookups are placed between sites, with two sites accessing the same pedestal. With wide, spacious sites, a long shore power cord is needed, and I could see many a situations where you may not reach your connection. Water spigots are throughout camp and sites are wooded, level, spacious and have fire pits and tables. There is firewood and a few limited souvenirs at the front campground store. Washrooms and laundry are available, which was conveniently located in nice proximity to our site, site 58. There truly are no poor sites here. There is a "give one, take one" library as well.

Best Sites: All, but those in the 90s are closest to the falls.
