Dodge City Kansas KOA, Dodge City, Kansas

This newer KOA is crisp and clean, located on the south edge of town adjacent to the fairgrounds, a free zoo, a waterpark, a city park, and the historic Boothill area of Dodge City. An easy walk will get you to all of these attractions. With a handful of tent sites and almost 100 RV sites, this campground felt much more intimate to us. Small trees and shrubs spot the sites. Pads are level and either cement or gravel pads.  A majority of the sites are back-in, with only a few pull-thrus available. Sites have picnic tables and fire pits, and are decently spaced from neighbors. There are the usual KOA amenities: hookups, cabins, dog park, laundry, restrooms, storm shelter, propane, and several pavilions for group gatherings. A small store might have a sweet treat, game, or a souvenir,  but not much else. We found this stop to be a good one and one of the cleaner KOAs we have stayed at.
