Stillwater RV & Campground, Granby, Colorado

Located on the western side of Rocky Mountain National Park and between the small towns of Granby and Grand Lake, this USFS campground feels more like a state park due to its close proximity to town. Stunning views of the Rockies and Grand Lake await you here from almost every site. With over 100 sites to choose from, making a decision at reservation time can be overwhelming, but honestly, every site has a view from this bluff top campground that has easy access to the lake's shore. I would say sites in the 40-60 range have the most limited lake views and more noticeable highway noise. The campground has newly sprouted pines and a sagebrush and wildflowers undergrowth. Interior roads are paved and site pads are a dirt/gravel mix. Most pads are level, but sites 1-8 seemed to be either unlevel or simply narrow pull-off sites better suited for tenters than RVers. A few walk-in sites are located throughout the campground, as is potable water and restrooms. Boating and fishing are popular on this large lake. Visiting the quaint boardwalk town of Grand Lake just a few miles to the North is also fun!
