This clean RV park is affiliated with the popular roadside attraction, the Big Texan Steak Ranch. A mile west of the Steak Ranch, which offers delicious, reasonably priced food, access to Big Texan brewed beers in a fun western family dining experience including the 72 ounce steak challenge, the park is easily accessible from Interstate 40. As a result, sites closest to the interstate (1-18) do have significant road noise. The park has nicely paved interior roads and packed gravel pads, all of which are level and spaced adequately from neighbors to accomodate slides and patio furniture. There are full hookups at each site as well as picnic tables, but no fire pits are available. Site pads are lengthy and big rig with tow friendly. A few mature trees spot the RV park, providing shade during scorching summer afternoons. The park has many amenities familiar to other RV parks including a pet run, clubhouse, indoor pool, laundry, showers, and a playground. The clubhouse and office offer a pleasant lounging area, gift shop, and some options such as DVDs, books, and games for guests to enjoy. Staff here are Texas friendly and a staff member will guide you to your site and make sure you have everything you need. There is also free limo service from the RV park to the Big Texan Steak Ranch, just be sure to tell the receptionist at check in you want to reserve a ride. If you prefer to eat in the comfort of your own RV, The Big Texan Steak Ranch will deliver your meal to your site free of charge. During our coronavirus (2020) visit, on site entertainment including live music at the ranch's Starlight Ranch Event Center adjacent to the property was cancelled. On the morning of our stay, free coffee and pastries were available in the office for all guests. We found this place to be a great stopover to enjoy the steak ranch and get some rest before continuing our journey along the I-40.
