Upper Lehman Campground is situated along Lehman Creek and the Scenic Road to Wheeler Peak in Great Basin National Park. Just a mile or so further up the mountain road from Lower Lehman Campground, we were discouraged by the Visitor's Center in Baker from staying here in our RV. Luckily, we snagged the last site
at Lower Lehman, but we hiked through Upper Lehman Campground on our four mile uphill hike to Wheeler Peak. We found this campground to be a smidge nicer than Lower Lehman amd it is teice as large with 24 sites. Water, pit toilets, paved roads and site pads are available here. Sites have cement picnic tables and fire pits. Many sites sit along the creek. There is also a camp host site in this campground (unoccupied during our visit). Upper Lehman is more heavily pines than Lower Lehman and there is less dense shrubbery, making creekside access easier. We really didn't see a reason why we couldn't comfortably bring our RV into this campground other than there were fewer pull-thru sites than Lower Lehman. This campground, in fact, has paved pads, wide interior roads, nicer picnic tables, and more water spigots to capture potable water. Many RVs were camping in here. The trailhead fpr the Lehman Creek Trail takes you to Wheeler's Peak. It is a beautiful hike, but a 3.4 journey uphill the entire way. Be sure to wear waterproof hiking shoes, you'll need them.
