This RV park is just a hop, skip, and a jump from Dubuque, Iowa, separated by the Mississippi River. The town of Kieler does not offer much in the way of tourism, but Dubuque and Galena, both fairly close by, are great places to visit while staying here, as long as you have a tow vehicle. The park sits atop a rolling hill
common to the U.S. Midwest. Cornfields surround the park on three sides. We enjoyed this peaceful farm setting, especially watching local farmers work their fields and cows grazing land. Trees spot the campground and provide quite a bit of shade here. Full hookups are available at every site, and gravel site pads and dirt roads meander through the camp. Sites are fairly level and grass surrounds the site pad. Almost all sites have a small cement patio with picnic table and a fire pit. Back-in sites provide the most space between neighbors, with the exception of pull-thru sites #50, 52 and 54. All sites have views of the fields, some better than others. The campground has friendly staff and lovely amenities including: A small laundry room, shower houses, a chapel (events can
be hosted here...it's adorable!), basketball court, playground, horseshoes, a large barn lounge with satellite TV, pool table, pinball, ping pong, games, movie and book library, and couches for lounging. There is also a parlor that is great for events and grouos to use as a meeting place. This park is scenic and we enjoyed slowing down here after many days in big cities. The Field of Dreams movie site is also a short 30 mile drive away, which makes for a fun stop.
