We were headed back to the Carlsbad Caverns for a quick overnight stay and decided to give this new RV park a chance. We had previously stayed at a KOA pretty far North from town, so we were excited that this park was only a few miles from the National Park. We rolled in after dark since we visited the caverns on the way into town and saw the evening bat flight program (a must see!). After navigating some city streets and skirting residential neighborhoods, we spotted our park. The park
is a clean, graveled lot with full hookups at each site. Sites are nicely spaced and have picnic tables and adequate patio space. We pulled into our site and quickly settled in for the night. The park was quiet and we found a good night's sleep here. The park is new, and it is still in phases of development. We departed early the next morning since we had a lengthy drive so we never had much of a chance to poke around. The park does have restrooms with showers and laundry facilities. A small office with friendly staff on site will help you with all of your needs. Improvements to the park currently being worked on include a dog run, installation of more back in and pull-thru RV Sites, cabins, and a fishing pond with a wraparound deck and built in fire pits. Owners hope to also add a clubhouse with a workout room and game room, as well as a water and ice station for your cocktails! In our early morning departure, we left our EMS plug on the ground at our site. I immediately contacted the park and Nicole was especially kind and helpful. Not only had our EMS plug been recovered, Nicole in the front office had it promptly shipped to a future stop on our itinerary. We couldn't believe how honest, helpful, and willing to help us Nicole was. This alone is a reason to venture back to this area, along with the nice facilities and close proximity to Carlsbad Caverns. This RV Park, especially with the diligent work to strive for improvements is a wonderful place to stay while visiting the Carlsbad area.
