This private park about an hour east of Louisville, in Kentucky's capital, Frankfort, was a great overnight stop for us! Set along Elkhorn Creek, a majority of the park's sites back up onto the creek, offering a beautiful setting. Sites along the creek offer water and electricity only. We had selected a full hookup site when booking, and wished we had opted for the partial hookup, creek side site. Some back in sites back you up pretty closely to a neighbor, so opt for a perimeter site when possible. Site pads are paved, level, and long, allowing plenty of room for big rigs and tow vehicles. Within in the park you will find friendly folks enjoying basketball, miniature golf, shuffleboard, volleyball, the pool, playground, horseshoes, or maybe even an event in the pavilion.
