Colonial Williamsburg, a historical site, resides within Williamsburg, a modern town spotted with breweries, restaurants, shopping, and friendly folks a few hours south of Washington DC. We selected this RV park over others in the area as it is the closest to Colonial Williamsburg, the focus of our stay. It also can boast that it is the only campground with city bus service to Colonial Williamsburg. We were pleased with our speedy ride into the attraction, but found on our return to camp that the bus ride was approximately an hour. That's where we called an Uber to get us back to camp in a more timely fashion. Family owned and operated for three generations, this park has nearly sixty sites for guests to enjoy and prides itself on being the "cleanest campground in the nation." Sites are gravel and have
small patio spaces with picnic tables and fire rings. We were here in the summer and temperatures were well over the century mark, so the shaded property and sites made keeping cool easier. Interior roads are paved and the campground offers several amenities: Arcade, pool, three small playgrounds, cornhole, basketball, horseshoes, bathhouse with free, hot showers, laundry, Wi-Fi, and a nice general store. The staff here are very helpful and friendly.
