Devils Tower KOA, Devils Tower National Monument, Wyoming

After viewing this amazing National Monument,  we cruised through the National Park campground at Devil's Tower,  but opted to stay at the KOA. Usually we prefer to avoid the KOA chain if possible, but found that this particular one was scenic, had views of the monument, was conveniently located at the entrance of the park, and offered big rig friendlier sites than the National Park campground. A great souvenir shop, restaurant, ice cream shop and
few grocery supplies are available here. Interior roads are gravel and sites are either grassy or gravel. Sites here felt more spacious than many we have encountered in other KOA parks. Of course, full hookup sites are available and all sites provide spectacular views of the monument.  A tenting area offers sites closer to the Belle Fourche River that has created the park and cabins sit alongside the river. The campground is surrounded by grassy, open fields offering beautiful views of the area. Staff were friendly and a playground, pool, bicycle rentals and hayrides are all available here. Reservations are recommended, as this private park in a premier location fills up quickly during the summer season.
