It's always tough to find a decent RV park or campground in an urban setting. We spotted this RV park from the I-40 on our way our east, and decided to stay a night when heading on our return trip west, as it appeared (in the glimpse we gave it from the interstate) to be clean and newer.
Upon check in we were greeted by friendly staff. The park offers the usual amenities; wi-fi, laundry, pool and spa, playground, horseshoe pit, showers, clubhouse, and a convenience store. All of these areas were
clean and the laundry especially appears to have nice machines and be maintained well. A complimentary continental breakfast is offered each morning. We figured being set along the interstate there would be road noise, and there was. The trade off of accessibility to the interstate was worth it for us.
Sites are typical of an RV park; fairly close together with a picnic table. Most sites are paved, some are gravel, and although interior roads are a bit worn, they are paved. There is a newer section of the park (sites 200+) are minimalist as far as landscaping, while the older section of the park offered grassy/weedy or shrubs and trees. We preferred the older part as it is set further back from the interstate, although road noise can be heard at all sites. The local attractions, such as Old Town, Petroglyphs NM and more are just a few miles away. This is a Solid place to stop over for a brief visit with its proximity to attractions and its easy access to the interstate.
