Seattle/Tacoma KOA, Kent, Washington

The closest RV park to downtown Seattle, this KOA provides a decent place to rest while visiting the city's sights. About 15 miles from downtown Seattle, this KOA is set adjacent to a nature preserve and the Green River, offering fairly scenic campsites. The campground itself has many of the typical KOA amenities: laundry, pancake breakfast (fee), playground, pet park, propane, heated pool, gift shop and convenience store. Cabins are not available at this particular site, although tent and a range of RV sites are available. Sites are close together, but do offer  paved or gravel pads, picnic tables
and a small grassy area. Maneuverability for big rigs can be challenging when the park is full, as interior roads are narrow. If you are traveling without a tow vehicle, getting into the city is fairly easy via one of two bus/train routes with stops within walking distance of the KOA. The staff here was a bit disorganized and check-in was a hassle, but overall our stay was a pleasant one.
