Located just across the street from Oregon's Fort Stevens State Park, this KOA has some nice amenities that made our impromptu stay quite pleasant. Coastal, yet not adjacent to water, temperatures here are moderate year round, allowing guests to enjoy all of the park's amenities, including: bike rentals, giant jump pillow, volleyball and basketball courts, horseshoes, playground and dog run. An outdoor covered camping kitchen offers guests and larger groups a nice gathering place. The indoor pool and spa was especially enjoyed during our stay since we had some inclement weather to
endure. Guests also can enjoy a free pancake breakfast each morning of their stay! Typical of KOAs, sites are available for tenters, RVers and also those wishing to stay in small cabins. The campground has some sites that are especially wooded and scenic in the A through E loops, however satellite signals are difficult to acquire as a result. Spots are all big rig friendly and the campground's perimeter is surrounded by trees, providing a scenic view at camp. Sites all have fire rings, picnic tables and hookups. With various historic sites and towns within close proximity, this KOA is a nice base camp for travelers.
