Wow! If you plan on heading to the Omaha area, make sure you stay for a minimum of four nights as there are TONS of activities within the boundaries of this park! The park is located about 30 miles south of Omaha, and thirty miles North of Lincoln along the I-80. Not only are campsites spacious, scenic and with partial or full hookups, but several lie along one of the many lakes or rivers within the park. Two campgrounds are available: Little Creek Campground and Lakeside Campground which both offer 30 and 50 amp hookups. Little Creek has showers and laundry facilities. Both camps are beautiful, offer spectacular scenery and wildlife viewing from
all of the 149 sites. Birdwatching is fabulous, and you will also come across wild turkeys and geese. If you don't have a rig, no problem! A beautiful, full-facility, 40 room lodge is available with rooms overlooking the valley. Or, if you prefer something a little cozier, 54 cabins are available, each set amongst the oaks that dominate the landscape. Cabins vary in size and floorplan and all are conveniently located to all of the amenities of the park. Need your Starbucks fix? No problem, the coffee kiosk within the lodge (near the Steakhouse) is the place to get your morning cup of mud.
You will not be bored here as there is something for everyone: Frisbee golf, a full size driving range, miniature golf, ice skating rink (except summer), indoor playground, several outdoor playgrounds, family water park complete with water fountains, pools and water slides, an observation tower, a craft lodge offering woodworking, leather working, and ceramics, historical points of interest, over 6 miles of scenic walking and biking trails, soccer fields, softball fields, basketball courts, a greenhouse and conservatory, horseback riding, paddle boats on one of the lakes, softball fields, melodrama theater with nightly performances, fishing, piers, an abundance of shaded picnic shelters, a marina café and a small grocery store. On Friday and Saturday nights the pizzeria located within the park will even deliver to your campsite!!!
