I'm not a huge fan of the KOA chain, however, this campground is one that I would definitely consider returning to on a future pass-through the Cheyenne area. The grounds are meticulously kept, set amongst Wyoming grasslands, is convenient to the freeway, yet traffic noise is not noticed and has a friendly staff. Expansive views of the grasslands that make the Midwestern plains famous are available from almost every spot. Typical to the KOA system, cabins, tent sites and RV sites with full or partial hookups are available. RV sites are nicely spaced compared to some other KOAs we've visited, sites and interior roads are gravel and a pool, miniature golf course and small store are available to guests. Set on the outskirts of Cheyenne, this is a peaceful, clean place to spend a few days and I highly
recommend a reservation here for Cheyenne Frontier Days or any other visit. The camp is situated close enough to the city for an inexpensive cab drive or tow vehicle trip, yet far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The best deal in town: $1 domestic draft beers at Sanford's Grub & Pub in downtown Cheyenne.
Location
Good Sites: 31, 37-42
Poor Sites: None
Hookups: Water, Electric & Sewer
Potable Water: At Each Site
Dump Within Facility: Yes
