This campground conveniently located off the 118 freeway in Simi Valley and about 40 miles north of Los Angeles is set mainly amongst oaks. There are day use areas in addition to the two campgrounds within this county park. We visited the lower campground where sites are shadier and offer a true "camping feel." Some sites within this lower section offer less vegetation and privacy, and all sites offer partial hookups. The negative: sites in the lower section are steps from the railroad tracks raising concerns of questionable foot traffic, noise and safety. Although sites in the upper campground are farther from the train tracks, they are very close together, offer no
privacy, and has a "parking lot" feel to it. A camp host, two playgrounds, grassy open areas and day use group areas are all available within this small park. Within a few miles you will find shopping, the Reagan Presidential Library and more!
