Sherwood Forest RV Resort, Palm Harbor, Florida

This RV park is more of a run down, urban trailer park full of trailer homes, a few permanent RVers and the occasional traveler. Although it has the potential to be a beautiful, upscale park, it misses the mark with overgrown grassy sites with no paved or gravel pad, an undesirable pool, run down laundry facilities and sewer pipes that overflow when you dump (and leave toilet paper remnants behind to prove it). Some sites back up against the pond, which is pretty, while others are tucked under the trees. A neat pedestrian trail is one block to the west and provides access to the marina and views of the bay. Ozona is a
quaint little, one block town just footsteps away where you can have
lunch or dinner. We found a better resort option just about fifteen miles away at the Bayou Bay RV Resort in Oldsmar.

Good Sites: Those along the lake
Poor Sites: Those along the perimeter of the park
Hookups: Water, Sewer & Electric
Potable Water: At Each Site
Dump within Facility: At Each Site

Hi, Just thought you'd like to know that we stayed at this park this past weekend with our grand children in our 23 foot pop up camper. We found a camp ground much nicer than you reviewed,,,,I think it's been sold and fixed up a bit. Pool was very clean and nice, bathrooms and laundry facilities clean and in good repair, lots not over grown (they mow every wednesday). I still wouldn't call it a 5 star camp ground, but I think it's much better than some of the older reviews I read! Hope you get a chance to stay again some day and see what you think! We're spending a week there in June!
