This pretty campground is set in the San
Bernardino Mountains among maple and pine trees. Most spots are spacious, pretty, and offer a serene mountain setting. Some spots back up to Rim of the World High School and those spots can get a bit loud when school events occur, namely athletic events. The campground is quite large and some spots overlook valleys and even have some peek-a-boo views of Lake Arrowhead. We've been here many times, during spring, summer, and fall, and each visit has been enjoyable and relaxing. One thing we found this place does lack is a body of water: a stream, lake, river, etc. There are a couple of trails that lead from camp offering short hikes. Site pads here are all paved as well as interior roads. Some sites offer electric hookups, while most are primitive. Many sites have steep pads, making it difficult to level RVs. An amphitheater hosts evening events on weekends during the summer months and facilities are kept in tip top shape by hard-working camp hosts. The town of Lake Arrowhead is just a ten minute drive away and you will find restaurants, shops,
groceries, lake tours and boat rentals there. Be prepared when traveling to and from camp for a bit of a white-knuckler drive up the mountainside! The campground closes during the winter months due to snow. Reservations are encouraged.
