New Brighton State Beach, Santa Cruz, California

This state beach is a beautiful one set atop a coastal bluff amongst eucalyptus trees, redwoods, shrubs and grasses. The beach below camp is accessible by a staircase. Picnic areas for day use are at the top of the stairs, and the campground itself sprawls over quite a large space. Some sites are less private but offer spectacular ocean views, some have hookups while others don't and some are wooded and spacious. The group campsites are large, wooded and some of the most beautiful in the park. Just a few minutes to the north is the famous Santa Cruz Boardwalk, which does offer RV parking. You could easily
spend an afternoon at the Boardwalk enjoying the rides while taking in a view of the ocean at the same time. New Brighton can be windy at times, but it is a beautiful park to enjoy!

Site 23 does not have any ocean view. It is close to the cliff, but it is near a grove of eucalyptus trees and is very wooded.
