Lake Casitas is a fun, family-oriented place to spend a weekend, although it can be rowdy during its peak season when the campground fills. The campground is huge with over 400 campsites and several different large loops to choose from. The lake offers boating and fishing (no body contact allowed with the water), while the campground has its own water park with a lazy river, a convenience store and gift
shop, walking paths, Frisbee golf course, Wi-Fi, astronomy programs, playgrounds, boat rentals, a café, a snack bar, bike rentals, and even trailer storage.
Some sites are lakeside or have lake views, while others are tucked into the oaks. Most sites are fairly spacious, and sites vary from rustic (a somewhat level dirt pad) to deluxe (a paved pad with hookups).
