Crags Campground, Bridgeport, California

This campground is the least desirable of the campgrounds available in the area, as it is not directly creek side, although it is still a beautiful place to set up for a few days or even a week. Although it is near Robinson Creek, it is set far enough back from the creek that there is little riparian vegetation. Campsites provide little shade and are set among sagebrush with beautiful views of the crags of Yosemite. A few pines spot the area. Sites here are spacious and you will often spot deer passing through camp. The campground offers two loops. The loop upon entry is reservable, and the second loop is first come, first served with beautiful views of the crags. Roads and site pads are paved,
and picnic tables are situated on a cement patio. Fire rings and bear boxes are also available at each site. The surrounding area of Twin Lakes provides some outstanding scenery, wildlife viewing, boating, and fishing. The campground is closed in winter.
